Guglielmo Marconi received the Nobel Prize for physics.  In 1912 after the sinking of the Titanic many new laws were introduced which required ships to have a radio operator on duty 24 hours a day.  Guglielmo Marconi became famous after the sinking of the Titanic and the Republic because he had
